What's on Robuchon ?

Yesterday, me, dad. and mom went to the biggest and most crowded mall in Semarang, Paragon Mall. It's been a long time we're not there together because of our hectic day.

PARAGON CITY MALL Semarang : 118th Pemuda Street, Semarang - Indonesia.
For further information, visit : www.paragonsemarang.com

After went to church, we moved to Paragon within only 100meters from our church. Because of it's dinner time, we hit the Paragon's foodcourt, ROBUCHON.

I used to love this foodcourt, but nowadays this foodcourt changes it substances. Some of my favourites weren't there anymore. Hiks. Rumors said, the rent for a counter raised constantly month by month so some owners refused to use. But i still have some recommendations to share with. Nothing will stop my appetite. Hahaha.

Yesterday i collected a little list of Robuchon's food counters :

Warung Bakso Lasino

Bakso (meatballs) is one of many kind foodie which can be found anywhere. On my campus field trip in Jepara, you can find meatball's stall every 100 meters and they still have loyal customers to keep the stall opened. Hahahahaaa.

But, how to choose a good and delicious one ?
As we know, every "warung bakso" has a same taste: savory, bumpy, salty. And also has same stuffs inside: pure-meatballs, yellow noodles (made from wheat flours and eggs), white noodles (made from rice flour or corn starchs), greenies and sometimes they put beef-tendon-meatballs and offals. Boring......

In Semarang, i have a recommendation which has a little differences.

WARUNG BAKSO LASINO
Jalan Hayam Wuruk no. 22, Semarang
(In front of : Faculty of Economic and Business, Diponegoro University)

Map Details :

What makes this stall different to another ? Because of their Fried-Fishball.....

Lasino gives some extra fishballs (i used to order this one without the meatballs hehe).

Fish meat (used mackerel (tenggiri) or catfish (ikan gabus)) combined with garlic and few seasonings then fried well makes these fishballs crunchy outside and chewy inside. The taste is also yummy!

a whole package of my order

standard meatballs bowl stuffed : meatballs, noodles, and offals

the special one : fried-fishballs !

PRICE :
a bowl of meatballs = IDR 12000
ice tea = IDR 3000

(P.S. i used to order only fishballs, noodles, and offals because of the meatball's taste is so standard)

Bon appetite !

Semarang Night Carnival

Semarang Night Carnival (SNC) is kind of Fashion Parade to celebrate Semarang's anniversary which always held on 2nd May.

I want to post some SNC's photos, captured by me with a little edited :

What a fun night ! :)

Warung Wedang Mataram

Hello, there ! It's been awhile no-blog-posting hahahahaaa, sorry :p

Okay. This time, i'll introduce u with Wedang Kapuran's twin or maybe the One and Only Wedang Kapuran's enemy.
It's a joke, don't take it seriously *LOL :p

But that statement was made because of their menu is same one to another.
If u already noticed my-last-post about Kapuran, we can see that Kapuran sell so many hot beverages such as Wedang Kacang Tanah, Wedang Kacang Ijo, Wedang Ketan Duren.
Wedang Mataram did the same things like Kapuran.

WARUNG WEDANG MATARAM
Jalan Raya Mataram, Semarang

Here's the menu and also the prices :

As you can see, the prices of beverages is a lil bit higher than Kapuran. But the taste is a lil bit better too.
If u don't like more sweetness on ur Ketan Duren, choose Kapuran. But if u looking for a good and well-done-cooked Wedang Kacang Tanah, choose Mataram.

However, both are my favourites hahaha :p

Wedang Ketan Duren

Wedang Ronde
(Ronde : ginger ale was combined with rice flour ball which filled with peanut butter, served hot)

Wedang Kacang Tanah

Still can't choose the favourite one ? Here's a difference....

The difference is on the side-dish. Mataram has a yummy and traditional side-dish named Tahu Petis.
This is the lite and traditional food originale from Semarang. Tahu Petis is combining 2 dishes : Tahu (Javanese Tofu) and Petis.
Petis is kind of sauce made from the extract of prawn mixed with garlic and many seasonings.

You have to put petis on your tahu before you eat because it served separately. And this is the delight moment of tasting Tahu Petis :9

Its only cost IDR2000/piece.

Here's another side-dishes of Wedang Mataram :

Wedang Mataram is opened from 6pm - till drop (NB: you have to come before 6pm because of the crowd).

For closing I stole a quote from Master Musician of Indonesia, Ahmad Dhani, and edited a little : "Wedang Mataram did a good job and that's all i wanna say" *LOL

Bon appetite !
